The Museum of Appalachia is a collection of pioneer buildings and artifacts collected over a fifty year period by Rice Irwin. he traveled the back roads, collecting untold thousands of everyday items from the colorful and interesting mountain folk of Southern Appalachia. There are 36 separate exhibits scattered along the path that takes you through the grounds. It is a beautiful place, in a beautiful setting, and a dream come to for photographers.
